A meticulous finish that makes all the difference

Are you looking for a shade sail that combines the authenticity of coconut fibre with a finish worthy of high-end outdoor furniture? This coconut fibre shade sail stands out thanks to its twill cotton edging and brass eyelets spaced every 22 cm. Whereas a standard pergola shade sail is secured directly through the weave, this model features regular, reinforced attachment points, ensuring quicker installation and a perfectly taut sail. The 7 cm binding effectively protects the edges from rubbing against the structure, minimising mechanical wear and significantly extending the fabric’s lifespan. To compare the models and choose the one best suited to your structure, see our guide which pergola shade sail to choose.

Two weave densities, depending on the level of shade required

This fabric is available in two weaves, to be chosen according to the desired level of shade. The Dense weave, at 1200 g/m², filters soft light to create natural, bright shade. The Ultra-dense weave, at 1600 g/m², provides significantly more intense shade and genuine thermal protection, ideal for south-facing locations. In both cases, the coconut fibre remains naturally rot-proof and acts as a natural air-conditioner: its airy weave filters the sun’s rays whilst allowing air to circulate, creating a cooling effect under your pergola. It is secured using the coconut rope supplied, with a separate tie at each eyelet; each canopy comes with its own instructions, and our installation guide details each step.

Lasting comfort for your outdoor spaces

Choosing this pergola canopy means opting for an elegant and sustainable solution to make the most of your outdoor spaces. Made from a 100% natural, bio-sourced and biodegradable material, with no chemical treatments, it requires no demanding maintenance and develops a beautiful patina over time, taking on a silvery hue that adds rustic charm without compromising its effectiveness. Available in 7 sizes and compatible with any type of structure, it adapts to most set-ups. And if your pergola has specific dimensions, discover our bespoke pergola canopy. For enhanced durability and a longer lifespan, the Coco Robusta shade cloth with a 3-year guarantee is an excellent alternative. Transform your pergola into an elegant, shaded retreat and give your patio that distinctive Provençal atmosphere.

Square and rectangular shade sail with binding: the Signature finish

A cotton twill binding edges all four sides of this Signature coconut fiber rectangular shade sail and extends beyond each corner. On a four-point design, this detail is crucial: the border acts as a structural belt, distributing the tension from the ropes along the perimeter rather than concentrating it on just a few stitches. The result is immediately apparent—clean lines, crisp corners, and a canopy that remains taut season after season. This is the tangible difference compared to the Classic Coconut 4-point shade sail, which features a simpler edge finish; while both offer the same material and natural shade from the dense weave, the 7.3 cm brown border on the Signature model transforms the final look. We apply this same level of care to our Signature shade canopy for pergolas.

Seven sizes to cover squares, rectangles, and large terraces

While a triangular sail requires only three anchor points, the four-point format covers a larger usable area and naturally complements the layout of a terrace, outdoor seating area, or poolside space. We offer seven sizes, ranging from 2×2 m to 4×4 m, including rectangular options of 2×3 m, 2×4 m, and 3×4 m. The four attachment loops come with thimbles pre-installed on the brass eyelets, saving you the most tedious step of the installation process. Plan for a minimum mounting height of 2.80 m and a sail size at least 50 cm smaller than the area to be covered: for an actual 4×4 m space, aim for a 3.50×3.50 m sail. Browse the entire Signature hanging range to compare the two available shapes.

Diagonal support recommended for large sizes

Derived from coconut husks, the fiber is bio-based, biodegradable, and undergoes no chemical treatment. It is rot-proof and unaffected by rain: upon contact with water, the weave expands and the sail doubles in weight, before returning to its original tension once dry. It is precisely to handle this temporary load that diagonal support is recommended for larger sizes—a factor to consider during the design phase of your installation. Over the seasons, the fiber gradually turns grey and develops a silvery patina that in no way compromises its effectiveness. For a terrace corner or a three-anchor space, the Signature triangular sail fits the layout better; if no standard size is suitable, our workshop can create a custom shade sail to your exact measurements.

Triangular shade sail with piping: the finishing touch that makes all the difference

Edged on all three sides with twill cotton piping, this Signature triangular coconut fibre shade sail stands out at first glance thanks to its clean lines. Whereas the Coco Classique triangular shade sail ends at the edge of the weave, the Signature features a 7.3 cm brown border around the fabric, complementing the natural brown of the coconut fibre. This trim is not merely an aesthetic detail: it acts as a structural reinforcement, distributing the tension from the ropes along all three sides rather than concentrating it on just a few meshes. The dense weave of 1,200 g/m² and its 1 cm thickness do the rest, providing natural shade without ever blocking the flow of air. The same attention to detail is evident in our Signature shade sail for pergolas.

A triangular sail with three attachment points, installed in a single afternoon

Just three anchor points: this is the quickest-to-install design and the most adaptable to uneven surfaces. A wall, a post or a tree trunk is all it takes, and the triangle covers the corners of the patio that a square design would leave empty. With this design, it’s all down to the corners: the edging is extended there to double the thickness at the points under the most stress, and the heart-shaped grommets come pre-fitted onto the brass eyelets — sparing you the most tedious part of the installation. Allow for a minimum mounting height of 2.80 m and a width at least 50 cm narrower than the area to be shaded to achieve good tension. Five sizes are available, ranging from 2x2x2 m to 4x4x4 m, plus a 3x4x5 m right-angled version. Discover the full Signature range of hanging shades to compare the models.

A 100% natural material that develops a patina over time

Derived from the coconut husk, the fibre is bio-sourced, biodegradable and undergoes no chemical treatment. Rot-proof, it is not affected by rain: on contact with water, the weave loosens and the sail becomes heavier, before returning to its original tension once dry. Over the seasons, the fibre gradually turns grey, taking on a silvery hue that adds to the overall charm without compromising its effectiveness. No maintenance is required, apart from storing it in a dry place during winter in snowy regions. To provide shade for a larger area with the same finish, opt for the Signature shade sail with 4 attachment points, and if no standard size suits your terrace, our workshop can produce a bespoke shade sail to your exact measurements.

Discover the benefits of our dense coconut shade cloth for pergola

Natural and stylish sun protection

Our coir shade cloth for pergola is designed with a simple weave to provide natural shade and unrivalled coolness under any outdoor structure. These natural fibre fabrics act like a natural air conditioner, filtering out the sun’s rays while allowing light to pass through, creating a protected yet bright outdoor space. Thanks to their eco-friendly and timeless design, they sublimate your exteriors, bring a decorative and bohemian trend.

Adaptability and easy installation of the shade on your pergola

Compatible with all structures, whether made of wood, metal or wrought iron, our shade cloth fits perfectly whether your pergola is freestanding, leaning against the house or free-standing. Fitting the canvas is made easy with the 0.5 mm rope supplied, allowing simple installation by two people, depending on the dimensions you choose, right up to a made-to-measure service to suit all requirements.

Resistance and durability

Made from natural coconut fibres, our canvas is not only stronger but also more weather-resistant than synthetic or natural materials such as bamboo or canisse. It maintains its integrity even in the face of strong winds (Tramontane, Mistral, Sirocco, Autan, Alizé and sea storms on the coast, for example) and harsh winter conditions. For the most exposed areas, our Coco Robusta shade cloth offers reinforced resistance. Its rot-proof nature ensures increased longevity, is water-resistant and requires no special maintenance, apart from recommended wintering to maximise its lifespan.

Practical advice and customisation for every pergola

To cater for all configurations and preferences, we offer a range of standard sizes as well as made-to-measure options. Questions frequently asked by our customers, such as selecting the right size or assembly instructions, are addressed in our detailed installation guide. In addition, our canvases come with a 2-year warranty, reflecting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Our most weather-resistant shade sail

Looking for sun protection that can stand up to increasingly harsh summers and prevailing winds? This coconut fibre shade sail uses a weave 68% denser than our Coco Classique shade sail, delivering noticeably deeper shade and a heightened sense of coolness beneath your structure. Reinforced perimeter ropes and a 17 mm rope edging give it lasting hold where other sails wear out prematurely. Designed for southern regions and exposed sites, it acts as a genuine thermal shield without ever blocking airflow. To compare models and choose the right one for your structure, see our guide on which pergola shade sail to choose.

An open weave that holds up against the wind

Unlike synthetic tarpaulins that trap heat and catch the wind, this product keeps an open weave despite its density. Air circulates freely, which prevents the greenhouse effect under your pergola and considerably reduces the strain placed on the structure by Tramontane, Mistral, Sirocco or coastal storms. It attaches simply using the 0.5 mm coconut rope supplied, with no specialist tools required, and two people can fit it comfortably — a threading needle makes passing the rope and tying the knots easier. The sail suits any structure with enough support bars, allowing a tolerance of ±10 cm relative to the frame. Every sail ships with its instruction leaflet, and our installation guide walks through each step.

Lasting comfort for your outdoor spaces

Choosing this pergola covering means choosing a solution built to last. Made from a 100% natural, bio-sourced and biodegradable material with no treatment whatsoever, it is rot-proof, unaffected by rain and needs no demanding upkeep. It weathers gracefully over time, taking on a silvery tone that adds rustic charm without affecting its performance. That durability is why we back it with a 3-year warranty, compared with 2 years across our other ranges, for an average lifespan of 5 years. Available in 16 sizes, it fits most configurations. And if your pergola has unusual dimensions, discover our made-to-measure pergola shade sail. If your crossbeams are more than 80 cm apart, the Coco Robusta version for widely spaced beams will suit you better. Unsure about the density? Request a sample and judge for yourself. Turn your pergola into an elegantly shaded retreat, and give your terrace that unmistakable Provençal atmosphere.

A unique solution for pergolas with widely spaced beams

Do you have a pergola without closely spaced beams, or with crossbars set far apart? This coconut fibre shade sail was designed specifically to meet that need. Where a classic pergola shade sail needs closely spaced crossbars to stay taut, this model features a grid support system that ensures an optimal hold, even on structures whose beams, arches or tubes are more than 80 cm apart — or that have no support bars at all. Add to that the Coco Robusta weave, 68% denser, for noticeably deeper shade and genuine thermal protection. You get natural, attractive and eco-friendly shade while making the most of your outdoor comfort. To compare models and choose the right one for your structure, see our guide on which pergola shade sail to choose.

Ideal for unusual structures and exposed sites

Unlike traditional shade sails, this product suits both pergolas with widely spaced crossbars and large open structures. Its reinforced perimeter ropes and 17 mm rope edging give it lasting hold, including against prevailing winds — Tramontane, Mistral, Sirocco or coastal storms. It attaches simply using the coconut rope supplied, with no specialist tools required, and two people can fit it comfortably; since the weave is denser, a threading needle makes passing the rope considerably easier. Coconut fibre is naturally rot-proof and long-lasting, and works like a natural air conditioner: its open weave filters the sun’s rays while letting air flow through, for a softened, cooling effect beneath your pergola, with no compromise on strength or elegance. Every sail ships with its instruction leaflet, and our installation guide walks through each step.

Lasting comfort for your outdoor spaces

Choosing this pergola covering means choosing a practical, durable solution for making the most of your outdoor spaces. Made from a 100% natural, bio-sourced and biodegradable material with no treatment whatsoever, it needs no demanding upkeep and weathers gracefully over time, taking on a silvery tone that adds rustic charm without affecting its performance. That durability is why we back it with a 3-year warranty, compared with 2 years across our other ranges, for an average lifespan of 5 years. Available in 8 sizes, it covers most configurations. And if your pergola has unusual dimensions, discover our made-to-measure pergola shade sail. If your crossbars are closely spaced, the standard Coco Robusta pergola shade sail gives you the same density with a wider choice of sizes; and for lighter shade, the Coco Classique version for widely spaced crossbars offers a more affordable alternative. Turn your pergola into an elegantly shaded retreat, and give your terrace that unmistakable Provençal atmosphere.

Ultra-dense privacy and windbreak screen: block the view, not the breeze

When maximum privacy is truly called for

Not all situations involving overlooking neighbors require the same solution. The ultra-dense weave of the Coco Robusta range is designed for situations where total privacy is essential: a neighbor’s window facing directly onto your terrace, a ground-floor garden in a housing development, an exposed spa or pond, an urban courtyard surrounded by buildings, or a seaside spot where you want to shield yourself from both passersby and gusty winds. At this level of density, the screen blocks not just direct lines of sight, but also silhouettes and movement behind the barrier. If your needs are more modest—such as defining two zones within the same garden, dressing up a shared boundary fence, or concealing a garden shed without darkening the back of the plot—the dense coconut screen from the Classique range is a better fit, as it allows more light to pass through. A full comparison of the two weaves can be found in our guide on choosing the right privacy screen or windbreak.

1,600 g/m²: what this density means in practical terms

One figure sums up the difference compared to a standard screen: 1,600 grams per square meter (dry weight), with a thickness of approximately one centimeter and a 17 mm perimeter rope that secures the edges and prevents fraying. This mass of fiber creates the privacy effect but also casts a much deeper shadow—which is why the same panel can be installed horizontally as an ultra-dense shade canopy on a pergola when solid, deep shade is desired. A key point: despite its density, the fiber remains woven rather than airtight. Air continues to pass through the mesh, preventing the “ballooning” effect associated with solid panels and explaining the low wind resistance observed in installations exposed to winds like the Mistral or Tramontane. The result is near-total visual opacity without turning the screen into a sail that catches the wind.

Mounting a heavy screen: the support structure matters more than the material itself

Installation involves tying the screen in place using the 0.5 cm coir rope supplied with the panel; using an installation needle saves significant time and protects your fingers when working on large areas. A crucial factor to consider is the weight when wet: upon contact with water, the weave expands and the material’s mass doubles—reaching around 3,200 g/m²—before returning to its original tension as it dries. Consequently, a support structure sized only for dry conditions will be subjected to loads exceeding its design limits during every rainfall. In practical terms, this means using posts that are either concreted in or securely guyed, opting for rigid rather than flexible fencing mesh for tall installations, and spacing tie points closely along the top edges. For balcony railings—where cantilevered weight and often condominium regulations come into play—the Coco Robusta balcony privacy screen is the specific product designed for this use.

Dimensions, custom sizing, and lifespan

Sixteen standard sizes are available, ranging from 2×2 m to 4×7 m, covering most fencing and terrace return needs; for larger dimensions or specific height requirements (such as fitting under a lintel), custom sizing avoids the need for cutting, which can compromise the integrity of the edges. In terms of longevity, the Robusta range comes with a 3-year warranty and an observed average lifespan of 5 years, compared to 3–4 years for our standard weaves. The fiber is rot-proof and withstands rain well; however, prolonged dry spells can cause it to dry out, so occasional misting during the height of summer helps maintain its flexibility. The color naturally shifts to a silvery tone over the seasons without compromising performance, and storing the product in a dry, rodent-free area during winter extends its lifespan even further. Our entire collection of coconut-fiber screens, curtains, and blinds can be found in the curtains and screens category.

Ultra-dense shade sail: a genuine heat shield

With its 68 per cent denser weave, this ultra-dense coconut fibre shade sail does more than just filter light: it blocks the sun’s rays to create a genuinely cool area, even in the midst of a heatwave. Its weight of 1,600 g/m² and thickness of one centimetre give it a level of opacity rarely found in an open-weave fabric, without ever trapping hot air — air can still circulate freely underneath. This is the key difference compared to the Coco Classique rectangular shade sail, woven at 1,200 g/m²: same material, same design ethos, but with significantly deeper shade and a reinforced 17 mm rope edging.

A wind-resistant shade sail, diagonally reinforced

Its airy structure allows gusts to pass through rather than resisting them: wind catch remains very low, a decisive advantage in exposed areas or by the sea. The four attachment loops, reinforced with cross-weave reinforcement and improved perimeter ropes, come with their heart-shaped eyelets already fitted — sparing you the most tedious part of the installation. Allow for a minimum attachment height of 2.80 m, 3 m for areas over 10 m², and ensure the lower edge of the fabric is at least 50 cm below the area to be covered to achieve the correct tension. Seven sizes are available, ranging from 2×2 m to 4×4 m. Browse our full range to help you choose the product best suited to your project.

Shade guaranteed for 3 years, with a lifespan of five seasons

Made from rot-proof, bio-sourced and 100% biodegradable coconut fibre, this fabric undergoes no chemical treatment. It is rain-resistant, does not retain water and naturally turns grey over time, developing a silvery patina that in no way affects its effectiveness. Whilst our standard ranges last 3 to 4 years, the Coco Robusta has an average lifespan of 5 years and comes with a 3-year guarantee. For large sizes, diagonal support is recommended to bear the weight of the wet fabric, which doubles when it comes into contact with water. For a terrace corner or an unusual space, the triangular version of the Robusta range is better suited to three-point configurations, and our workshop can produce your made-to-measure shade sail to exact specifications.

Ultra-dense triangular shade sail: the deepest shade

With its 68 per cent denser weave, this Robusta coconut fibre triangular shade sail acts as a genuine heat shield over your patio. Whereas the Coco Classique triangular shade sail filters the light gently, the Robusta blocks the sun’s rays to create a distinctly cool area, even in the midst of a heatwave. Its weight of 1600 g/m² and thickness of one centimetre give it a level of opacity rarely found in an openwork shade sail, whilst never trapping hot air: air can circulate freely beneath the fabric. A choice particularly well-suited to southern regions and areas exposed to full sun.

A triangular shade sail with 3 attachment points, designed to withstand the wind

Its airy structure allows gusts to pass through rather than offering resistance: wind catch remains very low, a decisive advantage in exposed areas or by the sea. The three attachment loops, reinforced with improved perimeter ropes, are supplied with their eye-loops already fitted — saving you the most tedious part of the installation. Attach the sail to a wall, post or tree, ensuring a minimum mounting height of 2.80 m and a width at least 50 cm narrower than the area to be covered to achieve the correct tension. Whilst our standard ranges last 3 to 4 years, the Coco Robusta has an average lifespan of 5 years and comes with a 3-year guarantee. Shade sail suspended from cables: the wide-span coconut fibre model

This shade sail, suspended from Robusta coconut fibre cables, is secured at a minimum of ten points, distributed along a grid of stainless steel cables. This design changes everything: instead of concentrating the load on four corners, the tension is distributed around the entire perimeter, allowing for dimensions of up to 4×6 m without the fabric becoming distorted. This is essential with this fabric: in large sizes, a Robusta weighs nearly 40 kg when dry and doubles in weight when wet. Nine sizes are available, from 2×3 m to 4×6 m, with the appearance adjustable when tensioned — stretched tight like a sail or deliberately loosened.

Intense shade for exposed terraces

Weighing 1,600 g/m² and featuring a 17 mm rope edging, this fabric filters the sun much more effectively than the Coco Classique version of the same model, which is woven at 1,200 g/m². Its open weave, however, allows gusts of wind and warm air to pass through: wind resistance remains low and cool air circulates beneath the fabric. Allow for a minimum hanging height of 3 m and a width at least 50 cm narrower than the area to be covered. Cables, tensioners and wall hooks are included in our installation pack with a 20 m cable; two people are required for installation.

Five-season lifespan, 3-year guarantee

Made from rot-proof, bio-sourced and 100% biodegradable coconut fibre, this fabric has not undergone any chemical treatment. It is rain-resistant, does not retain water and naturally turns grey, developing a silvery patina that in no way affects its effectiveness. Whilst our standard ranges last 3 to 4 years, the Coco Robusta has an average lifespan of 5 years and comes with a 3-year guarantee. For smaller areas that do not require a full grid, the Robusta with 4 fixing points is easier to install, and you’ll find the full range of models in our complete range.

Multi-point attachment shade sail: cover large areas

Provide ample shade for your outdoor spaces with our multi-point attachment coconut fibre shade sail. Stretched across a grid of cables and secured at a minimum of ten points, this fabric distributes the load across its entire surface and remains beautifully flat, even over large spans. Whilst a 4-point attachment shade sail is suitable for small and medium-sized areas, the multi-point version comes into its own as soon as the area to be covered becomes larger. To compare shapes and installation systems, view all our models.

A cable-based system designed for all configurations

The numerous fixing rings are spaced along the taut cables, which can be installed beneath an existing pergola or between anchor points set up on your patio. Cables, tensioners and hooks can also be ordered from our website; installation requires two people and is adjusted by tightening, allowing for a taut or deliberately loose finish depending on the desired effect. Available in thirteen sizes, this shade sail is also available in a made-to-measure version if your space has specific dimensions.

Natural, durable and maintenance-free shade

Made from rot-proof coconut fibre, this shade sail combines durability with aesthetic appeal. Bio-sourced and biodegradable, it filters the sun’s rays whilst allowing air to circulate, providing immediate coolness under a pergola or above a terrace. It requires no demanding maintenance and develops a beautiful patina over time, taking on a silvery hue with rustic charm without losing any of its effectiveness. If you’re looking for a denser weave and a longer lifespan, the Coco Robusta version is an excellent alternative for making the most of your outdoor spaces.

A unique solution for pergolas with widely spaced crossbars

Do you have a pergola without closely spaced crossbars, or one with crossbars that are very far apart? This coconut fibre shade sail is specially designed to meet this need. Whereas a standard pergola shade cloth requires closely spaced cross-beams to hold it in place, this model features a grid-based support system that ensures optimal stability, even on structures where the beams, arches or tubes are spaced more than 80 cm apart — or have no supporting bars at all. You can therefore enjoy natural, attractive and eco-friendly shade, whilst maximising your outdoor comfort. To compare models and choose the one best suited to your structure, consult our guide which pergola shade sail to choose.

Ideal for unusual structures

Unlike traditional shade sails, this product is perfectly suited to pergolas with widely spaced crossbeams as well as large open structures. It is easily secured using the coconut fibre rope supplied, without the need for complex tools, and can be installed effortlessly by two people. Coconut fibre, which is naturally rot-proof and durable, acts as a natural air-conditioner: its airy weave filters the sun’s rays whilst allowing air to circulate, creating a softening and cooling effect under your pergola, without compromising on strength or elegance. Each canopy comes with its own instructions, and our installation guide details each step.
