Coco rope

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Coconut rope is highly recommended for tieing our coconut shade sails for pergolas. Using other accessories such as plastic cable ties could damage the rope due to repeated friction between the 2 different materials.

Installation system
When choosing the diameter of your rope for your hanging shade sail :
– if the spacing between the corner of the shade and the attachment point (post, facade etc…) is less than 1.5 m, you should opt for rope ⌀ 1 cm, doubled for greater strength.
– if the distance between the corner of the shade and the point of attachment (post, facade, etc.) is greater than 1.5 m, you should opt for rope ⌀ 1.4 cm, which is sufficient in single length.

To find out what length of rope to choose, you need to take into account the distance between the corner of the shade and the attachment point and add about 50 cm to allow for the knots for the attachment.
Example: if the distance between the corner of the shade and your attachment point is 1m, the length of rope required will be 10m (2.5m at each corner).

Maintenance
No stains. If necessary, you can wash the rope with black soap and water.

Weather info
On contact with water, the material will soak up water, then dry quickly in the sun.

Nous avons posé 2 ombrières, l'une sur une terrasse plein sud (dans le Var) l'autre sur une terrasse exposée à l'est en bordure de piscine. Pour le sud, nous avons choisi le tissage le plus serré. Ça assombrit un peu la maison mais on peut enfin profiter de la terrasse du petit déjeuner jusqu'à la nuit. Il n'y fait pas trop chaud.
Tous nos amis ont apprécié les 2 ombrières et les ont trouvées vraiment belles.
On les repliera et mettra à l'abri cet hiver pour les garder plus longtemps. Elles ont subi un violent orage méditerranéen, fin juin, et n'ont ni bougé ni déteint sur le sol ou le mobilier.
Nous en sommes enchantés et recommandons vivement ce produit.
